END THE WAR IN IRAQ

With over 4,000 soldiers dead in Iraq and a crumbling economy, CPA continues to call on Congress to end the war in Iraq, stop tax breaks for the wealthy, and invest in key domestic priorities such as health care, education, and policies that help families become self sufficient.

Out of every income tax dollar contributed by a Colorado taxpayer, the National Priorities Project estimates that 42 cents is spent on current and past military expenses, while only $.22 goes to health care. Nationally, education makes up only 4% of the federal budget, while defense spending continues to soar.

This immoral and costly war should have never started and it is time to bring the troops safely home.

Take Action

  1. Call your U.S. Representative and Senators today and ask them to pass a bill for troop redeployment
  2. Write a letter to the editor that includes a wish-list for what programs you would fund with your share of the Iraq war debt
